At Cani'Laz, categorized dogs receive the same care and attention as all other dogs. They're welcomed without prejudice or discrimination.
Living with a categorized dog comes with unique challenges, including legal obligations and public perception. At Cani'Laz, I warmly welcome your categorized companion and support you in achieving their optimal wellbeing despite legal constraints. Here, your dog won't be judged or discriminated against based on their breed or category. However, strict adherence to regulations regarding these dogs is crucial.
COMING TO CANI'LAZ WITH A CATEGORIZED DOG
Cani'Laz sessions take place in a private, enclosed area, allowing categorized dogs to participate without muzzles. But public road regulations, including muzzle use and leashing from parking to school, must be observed.
During the Orientation Session, along with vaccine and ID checks for all dogs, categorized dog documents are verified:

For dogs over a year: possession permit.

For dogs 8 months to a year: provisional possession permit.

For dogs under 8 months: provisional permit, unless planning to pass Cani'Laz's aptitude certificate.
CATEGORIZED DOGS'APTITUDE CERTIFICATES AT CANI'LAZ
Authorized by the Finistère prefecture, I offer a comprehensive 10-hour training for categorized dogs' aptitude certificates at Cani'Laz. This training, exceeding legal requirements, aims to minimize aggression risks, clarify detention regulations, and equip you with essential educational skills for harmonious cohabitation. The required modules include:

Foundations Program (6 hours): Six group classes focusing on education and socialization.

Cooperative Care Activity (2 hours): Practical session on muzzle fitting and removal.

'Who is Canis Familiaris?' Workshop (2 hours): Detailed theoretical session on canine behavior, human-dog relations, legal aspects of categorized dog ownership, and aggression prevention strategies.
